Hello again!!!

It's currently thursday night in Maui! I'm currently sitting at our gate at the Kahului airport waiting to head back home, we have one connecting flight between us and our destination, so it's going to be a long night unfortunately.
Yesterday we opened eachother's gifts, had some breakfast, and then went down to the beach directly across from our airbnb! I went for a swim, and the rest of my family tried snorkeling, and they saw a sea turtle a couple feet away from them! The lifeguards at the beach played hawaiian music on their megaphone and said "Mele kalikimaka everybody!" every 30 minutes or so as the beach filled up with more and more people. After the beach we checked out 'Iao Valley, and the scenery was so beautiful! It was a nice hike as well. After 'Iao Valley, we headed back to the airbnb to make christmas dinner, which consisted of barbequed steak and potatoes. I am usually not a steak person, but that was the best steak I think I've ever had! It was a nice cozy night.
This morning, we woke up, checked out of the airbnb, and then we headed northwest through Lahaina, and then around the mountain to the "Blowhole", and then back through some one lane cliffside roads back to Kahului, where we had some dinner, and then made it back to the airport to drop off the rental car. Once we dropped off the rental car, we took the little tram back to the departures terminal, where we found out we were still five hours early to our flight! So we waited around for an hour to go by. Once the time had passed we went back and saw that we could finally print bag tags, but that bag drop staff still wouldn't be there for another hour! Oops. So we waited around for another hour, dropped the bags off, and finally walked to the gate, where we are now.
It was a very eventful and beautiful vacation!! I am very sad to say goodbye to Maui, Hawaii, but I am also very ready to be back home, in my own bed. :)
